Trethowans receives Lexcel reaccreditation for high quality legal practice
Trethowans has successfully earned its benchmark Lexcel reaccreditation for demonstrating high quality legal practice following a recent assessment.
Lexcel, awarded by The Law Society of England and Wales, sets out rules and guidelines for firms that provide legal services to help raise standards and promote a quality management approach. The comprehensive evaluation covers a broad range of areas including firm structure, client satisfaction levels, training and supervision, risk assessments and financial management.
In a glowing report, the firm was praised for its swift adoption of innovative styles of working to accommodate steady rises in demand throughout the UK’s periods of lockdown.
Compliance with guidelines in relation to client meetings, held both in person and remotely, was described by the inspector as ‘exemplary’ considering the increasing pressures of the pandemic and the crises in the economy at large.
However, it was the determination, resilience and commitment of staff members that received the overriding admiration of the inspector. The report particularly noted the value of the ‘collegiate and supportive culture of the practice’, an ethos which had clearly been ‘nurtured and nourished over many years’.
Chris Whiteley, Managing Partner at Trethowans, said: “On behalf of the firm, we’re immensely proud to be reaccredited for Lexcel and it is testament to the hard work put in by our staff. It has been an unusual year to say the least, but the way our team has responded to the changing circumstances has been second to none.
“Maintaining first-class client service is our number one priority. Whilst we have been faced with challenges, we have continued to go above and beyond for our clients, which is a credit to our fantastic team.”
