Trethowans lace up their running shoes and announce partnership with ABP Southampton Marathon

Trethowans has announced a new event partnership with the ABP Southampton Marathon which is taking place on Sunday 7th April 2024.

The event will see 8,000 runners hit the streets of Southampton in a Full Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K, 5K and Fun Run. The event has a field of local and national first-time runners, run club members, charity fundraisers and personal-best record breakers.

At the 2023 ABP Southampton Marathon, Trethowans had a team of 11 runners supporting their charity partner Mountbatten Hampshire. The Trethowans runners raised an amazing £3,000 for Mountbatten Hampshire and the team will be back to support the charity again in 2024! Each year, Mountbatten Hampshire care for over 3,000 local people and as an independent charity every donation makes a real impact to local people.

Mike Watson, Managing Partner at Trethowans commented: “We’re excited to announce our partnership with Rees Leisure and the ABP Southampton Marathon, which is bound to be a great day and a chance for runners (and non-runners!) from all over to take on various distances and challenge themselves in 2024.

“Several members of our team have already signed up to take part. We’ll be there to cheer them on and hope to raise lots of funds for our chosen charities.”
