Trethowans advises on the management buyout of Just Kampers
Trethowans has successfully completed on the MBO of Just Kampers on its 35th anniversary.
Just Kampers has been part of the VW community since 1989, when it started out as a small workshop carrying out repairs and restorations on VW Campervans. Since then, they’ve grown and evolved into one of the world’s leading suppliers, producers, and distributors of parts and accessories for classic and modern Volkswagens, as well as branching out into converted campervans from other manufacturers. Based in Hampshire, but serving customers globally, Mark Reynolds led the company since its inception in 1989.
Commenting on the transaction, Mark Reynolds, founder of Just Kampers, said: “Lucy was highly recommended to us, and I’m very happy to say she surpassed our expectations, and we are very happy to recommend Lucy and her associate Amrita. Lucy has a great ability to drill down and deal with the important issues and not get bogged down with arguing over a comma vs semicolon (unless it’s important) as can be the way with other law firms. Lucy gave us a fee quote for an MBO, delivered on time and budget, even working ‘out of office hours’ to get it delivered.”
The transaction was led by Lucy Gleisner, Head of the Corporate, assisted by Amrita Sangha (Corporate) and Louise Thompson (Commercial). Corporate Finance support was provided by Meridian.
